Astaxanthin & Blackcurrant
Astaxanthin, which gives the pink pigment to salmon and other fish, and is found naturally in the simple marine alga, Haematococcus pluvialis, has been shown to have up to 550 times more antioxidant activity than Vitamin E, and up to 10 times more antioxidant action than Lutein and Beta Carotene. Astaxanthin can also cross the blood-brain-retina barrier, and so may help protect against the harmful effects of ultra-violet light entering the eye.
