This remedy is pronounced Ig-nay-sha and is used for fright, prolonged grief, piles, sore throat, croup, piercing headache, insomnia. It can also be used for headaches - with piercing frontal or temporal hammering. The remedy source is Ignatia amara also called Strychnos ignatia which is St Ignatius' bean - the seed pods of which contain the poison strychnine which acts on the central nervous system.
Ingredients: Sucrose coating/Lactose core.
Directions: Pillules to be sucked or chewed and to be taken between meals. Adults and children: 2 pillules every two hours for the first 6 doses, then 4 times daily for up to 5 days or until symptoms improve, or as directed by your doctor or homeopath. If symptoms worsen or persist consult a doctor.
